But when Kaname gets into some serious trouble, Sousuke takes the guise of Bonta-kun - the gun-wielding, butt-kicking mascot. It's back-to-school mayhem with Kaname Chidori and her war-freak classmate Sousuke Sagara as they encounter more misadventures in and out of Jindai High School. Like many of its fans know, it is based of the FMP novel "The End of Day by Day. However, when Sousuke's mission to protect Chidori is terminated by Mithril, all seems to be in place for Amalgam's plans. This organization, known as Amalgam, also has Black Technology, obtained from Whispered like Kaname Chidori, and like the other intelligency agencies, they intend to obtain more. Mithril becomes aware of a secret organization that has technology able to counter the ECS (Electronic Cloaking System) mode.

This series is set about two months after the events ocurred in the Tuatha de Danaan at the end of the original series. Unfortunately for Sousuke, the toughest part of his mission isn't only protecting Miss Chidori but also getting used to living an average High School students life, no easy task for someone raised on the battlefield. To complete this task Sousuke will have to deal with enemies from his past as well as the occasional panty thief. Sousuke Sagara, a seventeen year old military specialist working for the secret organization MITHRIL, has been assigned to protect the latest "Whispered" candidate Kaname Chidori.

Then again, it depends on who you talk to (and if you compare it to let's say fansubs).ĪDV Films is dead in terms of the name/brand. It depends on how picky you're with stuff like this. There are subtitle errors (syntax and such). The Clannad reviews are done by Todd (Dragon Fly). Mike and I go back a long way, maybe 10 or 11 years, and I feel like ADV's former line of products could not have fallen into better hands. Thanks very much to Mike for calling me personally to walk us through the changeover. I also think it's worth mentioning that John Ledford is not part of the new company. We'll be updating our catalog over the next few days to reflect Section 23 as the new distributor of ADV's (former) titles. They will still be coming out, and the schedule will not change.
This includes pre-order items in the pipeline but not yet released. That means the changeover will be pretty much transparent to you guys. Section 23 has acquired all of ADV's former licenses and most of the staff (including Chris Oarr, Destiny, Michelle, everyone formerly at ADV that mattered), and is picking up distribution of all former ADV titles, so the DVD's will remain available and our orders will just be processed and filled by the new company. UPDATE: Just got off the phone with Mike Baliff, formerly of ADV Films who is now heading up Sales and Marketing at the new company Section 23 Films.
